Good for cut flowers
Can be sown in September for flowers in early spring
Long, strong single stems, with large double flowers. Colours range from various shades of blue to scarlet, pinks and white.
Normally sown in situ from March onwards when soil conditions allow. Usually flowering from June until the frosts kill them. For earlier flowers many species can be sown in September and overwintered in mild areas. Hardy annuals are generally easy to grow, quick to flower and are great for filling in gaps. However large or small your garden they represent great value for money.
A fabulous plant for attracting insects and often used in borders. The slender stems hold beautiful flowers. Well drained, fertile soil is essential for the growth of Larkspurs. Although they prefer the sunlight, they need to be sheltered from any strong winds. Sow directly into open ground from September or March to May.
